Sunday night traffic accident kills Trigg County man

A traffic accident late Sunday night kills a Trigg County man.

WKDZ reported the single vehicle mishap occurred at 10:17 pm on Linton Road. 

Trigg County Sheriff's deputies said a vehicle operated by 87-year-old Marion Wilford was westbound when it ran off the road and collided with an embankment just past Lake Vista Drive.

Wilford was taken by ambulance to a waiting helicopter but succumbed to his injuries.
