Student injured, another charged after altercation at Lyon County High School

One student was injured and another charged after an altercation last week at Lyon County High School.

The incident took place just after school on Tuesday. The School Resource Officer responded to and investigated the assault complaint, which was caught on surveillance video. One juvenile was treated after the altercation. The other juvenile was charged with fourth-degree assault.

Disciplinary action within the school system and legal proceedings involving the 16-year-old male are pending. The case is still under investigation.
