Storms brought downed trees, power lines and flooded roads as they raced across southern Illinois and western Kentucky on Friday morning.

In Paducah, power lines came down on Bleich Road and on US 60 at Fisher Road.

Flooding closed the intersection of 21st and Old Mayfield Road.

Dozens of downed trees in Paducah and McCracken County blocked Jefferson Street, Lone Oak Road, Apperson Road, Merrydale Drive, Miller Drive, and Hardmoney Road.

Across western Kentucky, more downed trees were reported in Webster County, 

Winds were measured at 46 mph in Marshall County, 52 mph in Marion, 54 mph at Fort Campbell and 60 mph at the Murray airport. Several trees were reported down east of Murray, and northwest of Eddyville.

The storms began earlier in southern Illinois. Two homes in Du Quoin received major damage when large trees fell on them.  Power went out in the city of Anna, where 1-inch hail was reported. In Johnson County, several trees were down and shingles were blown off a building west of Vienna. A tree fell across US 45 west of Metropolis at Mount Mission Road.

In southeast Missouri, flash flooding and 53-mph wind was reported in Cape Girardeau.
