The City of Paducah has given the green light to Central Paving Company to start work on the South 25th Street improvement project.

The project is expected to take about six months to work on South 25th Street from Jackson Street to Alabama Street. Improvements will be made in connectivity, walkability and drainage.

Once the Paducah Chiefs baseball season is over, work will begin on Brooks Stadium Drive.

The city said it would use $1.4 million in American Rescue Plan Act funds and $650,000 the city received from the Transportation Cabinet in 2019 for the project.
