A sleeping Paducah man was arrested on outstanding warrants in Metropolis.

Metropolis Police and EMS were called to check on a man who was unresponsive in a room at the Baymont Hotel. It turned out that 48-year-old Michael P. Lucas of Paducah was just asleep. When they ran his name through the computer, a pair of arrest warrants popped up. One of those was a petition to revoke probation out of Massac County on a possession of a controlled substance charge. The other warrant was for contempt of court in McCracken County.

Lucas was arrested and taken to the Massac County Detention Center.
