The list of political speakers for the 145th St. Jerome Fancy Farm Picnic is taking shape with several big political players confirmed to speak and a few notable politicians missing.
Of those who have officially declined an invitation to speak are Lt. Governor Jacqueline Coleman and Rep. Pam Stevenson. Coleman and Stevenson will be in the area just a few days ahead of the picnic to attend the Alben Barkley Dinner in Paducah on Thursday, July 31st.
However, plenty of other speakers have been confirmed. That includes U.S. Congressman James Comer, Kentucky State Senator Jason Howell and Kentucky State Representative Kim Holloway.
Also speaking will be John "Drew" Williams, a democratic candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in Kentucky’s 1st Congressional District, as well as republican US Senate candidates, Daniel Cameron, Andy Barr and Nate Morris.
Attorney General Russell Coleman, Ag. Commissioner Jonathan Shell and Treasurer Mark Metcalf are also confirmed to speak.
There are still a few invitations to speak pending.
Ashli Watts, President of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, will emcee the event.
