Several arrested during recent drug investigations in McCracken County

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office has made several arrest in connection with drug investigations over the past week in McCracken County.

On July 16th detectives stopped a vehicle on South 6th Street in Paducah. Detectives allegedly found small quantities of Methamphetamine, synthetic Marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. A passenger in the vehicle, 33-year-old Joshua Luna, was charged in connection with the drugs.

In early July detectives investigated Fentanyl trafficking in the Lone Oak area of McCracken County. A McCracken County Grand Jury indicted 27-year-old Lucas Carter of Gilbertsville and 22-year-old Brenda Morefield of Benton on two counts of trafficking in Fentanyl. Morefield and Carter were both arrested during separate traffic stops in McCracken County this past week. 

On Wednesday detectives received information that 46-year-old Troy Ashford of La Center was involved in illegal drug activities at Carson Park in Paducah. Detectives located Ashford and conducted a search of Ashford’s vehicle. Detectives allegedly found small quantities of mthamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The investigation also revealed that Ashford had trafficked in small quantities of marijuana.
