A crash involving a pickup and a semi I-24 in Trigg County sent three to the hospital and blocked traffic overnight into Friday morning.
Initial reports from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet suggested that the pickup was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes. Police said the semi attempted to avoid hitting the truck head-on but the two vehicles did collide. The semi went into the median and struck the cable barrier.
The driver of the pickup, the driver of the semi, and his co-driver who was in the sleeper cab were all taken to the hospital.
The interstate was blocked for several hours before the westbound lanes reopened at about 5:45 a.m.
