Salem man arrested on gun, drug charges

A Salem man was arrested on gun and drug charges last week.

Livingston County Sheriff's deputies were called by Child Protective Services to assist with a home visit to assess the safety of some children.  

In the home, deputies found 1.3 pounds of processed marijuana and three firearms.

They arrested 34-year-old Arron Cole, who was charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and possession of marijuana.

Cole was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
