A Murray man has been arrested for a second time in a month for allegedly burglarizing homes, first in Graves then in Calloway County.
The Calloway County Sheriff's Office said they arrested 56-year-old Larry French after an investigation into a burglary of a home on KY 121 that occurred last October. Multiple musical instruments, valued at $8,000, were taken and partially recovered by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee.
Then on Thursday morning the Graves County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to KY 94 between Pilot Oak and Water Valley. The caller reported seeing on camera someone attempting to burglarize their home. The caller was not at home but was monitoring remotely.
A deputy said he saw the suspect who initially attempted to flee. The suspect was identified as French.
The Sheriff's Office said French had already allegedly burglarized one home and attempted a second. Property that he had stolen was reportedly found in a pickup truck.
Authorities said French confessed to the theft. He was charged with burglary, attempted burglary and criminal trespass.
