Repairs to State Line Road bridge in Fulton to begin Monday

Work will get underway Monday on a project to repair a bridge deck on the Purchase Parkway in Fulton.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will restrict the Purchase Parkway and US 51 northbound traffic to one lane at the Kentucky-Tennessee state line to allow deck work on the State Line Road overpass. Lane restrictions will be around the clock so that the concrete used for the repair can cure properly.

KYTC said to expect some delays approaching the state line out of Tennessee due to the work and traffic merging to one lane. They said the configuration of the work zone may change periodically to facilitate the work as well as for the placement and movement of equipment. 

The work is expected to be complete by sometime Wednesday afternoon.
