A Princeton woman was arrested Wednesday on a number of forgery and theft charges whle employed with the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy and Public Defender's Office.

WPKY reported 38-year old Jacqualine White was arrested on a warrant charging her with 59 counts of forgery, 59 counts of unlawful access to a computer, theft by deception, and official misconduct.

The charges stemmed from a Princeton police investigation while White was employed as an administrative specialist for the Public Defender’s Office.

Investigators said she accessed state computers to fraudulently submit travel vouchers on 59 different occasions between April and November, 2023 totaling more than $7,000. 

The investigation revealed White submitted travel vouchers and gained compensation without actually traveling by unlawfully accessing computers and forging a supervisor’s name.

White was lodged in the Caldwell County jail.
