Marriott Aloft hotel coming to downtown Paducah

A new hotel is coming to downtown Paducah.

During Tuesday evening's Paducah Board of Commissioners meeting, Mayor George Bray announced a Mariott Aloft hotel will be constructed near the Holiday Innin the downtown area.

It's not known when construction will begin on the hotel.

Marriott Aloft has 166 locations in the United States, including three in Kentucky.

Two of the three locations are in Louisville and the other is in Newport.
