A Princeton man was transported to the hospital after his lawn mower was hit by a pickup on Sunday night.

Police were sent to Varmintrace Road just before 9 p.m. where they said 24-year old Austin Davis of Princeton was driving a pickup truck when he collided with the lawnmower pulling a trailer driven by 49-year old Robert Ford.

Davis told officers that he could not see the lawn mower due to not having running lights on the mower or trailer.

Ford was transported by ambulance to Caldwell County Hospital for possible injuries. He was also issued a citation for operating his mower on a suspended license, no registration plates, no insurance, no tail lights, no windshield, no brake lights, and one headlight.
