Authorities are searching for a Paducah man wanted in both Kentucky and Georgia.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to find 32-year-old Dwayne Morrow. The search began following an inquiry from the Gwinnett County Police Department in Georgia. Gwinnett officers have been seeking Morrow in connection with an incident that happened in Lilburn, Georgia, back in March.

In that case, Morrow is accused of assaulting a man and injuring him severely enough for him to need medical assistance. Warrants were issued following the investigation, and Morrow is facing charges of kidnapping and battery in Georgia.

When the Gwinnett officers contacted the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, detectives attempted to locate him and ultimately served a search warrant at a home in Paducah. There, they reportedly found a handgun, which Morrow is not allowed to possess because of a prior felony conviction. Additional Kentucky charges of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon  have been added.

Detectives have reason to believe that Morrow is still in the Paducah area, and they are asking for help finding him. Anyone with knowledge of Morrow’s location is asked to contact the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office or leave an anonymous tip through West Kentucky Crime Stoppers.
