Pedestrian killed in Christian County accident

Kentucky State Police at Madisonville are investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred Monday morning in Christian County.

Around 4 am, KSP received a call from Christian County 911 Dispatch about the accidenty on I-24 near the 74 mile marker. 

Investigators said 36-year-old Stephen Adams of Pleasant View, TN was operating a semi when he noticed a vehicle stopped on the shoulder of the roadway and moved into the left lane to yield.  As he moved over, the semi struck 29-year-old Kenneth Blackley of Golden Valley, MN.

Blackley was pronounced dead at the scene by the Christian County Coroners Office.  Adams was not injjured and at this time no criminal charges have been filed.
