Jet that ran off runway and hit Mayfield house has been removed; road reopened

KY 58 in Graves County is back open between KY 131 and Byrd Road after the removal of the jet that ran off the runway of the Mayfield-Graves County Airport on Thursday.

The Graves County Sheriff's office said they originally thought the removal would take most of the day, however crews completed the task before Noon.

The jet ran off the runway, went through a fence, crossed the roadway, before colliding with a residence on the south side of Kentucky 58. No one was injured.
