A pavement patching project is coming to US 68 in Marshall County beginning on Friday.
A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is scheduled to begin working on the $250,000 project at the McCracken/Marshall County line and continue through Sharpe and Palma to the I-69 interchange at Draffenville. The work will reportedly address a number of issues with the pavement along that stretch and is a precursor to a larger project for the corridor.
Flaggers will be assisting traffic through the area, as the road will be down to one lane with alternating flow. Work is scheduled to go on for about a week.
A more comprehensive plan for safety improvements to the nine-mile segment of US 68 is being developed by KYTC engineers.
