Mayfield pair accused of assaulting police trying to break up fight

A Mayfield couple was arrested when they reportedly assaulted police officers who arrived to break up a fight on Wednesday.

Mayfield Police said 45-year-old Marco Rosales and 39-year-old Aarika Hawks are accused of fighting and assaulting officers when police tried to detain them.

Officers were eventually able to arrest the pair and book them into the Graves County Jail.

Rosales was charged with assault, resisting arrest, and alcohol intoxication in a public place.

Hawks' charges include assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
