Paducah woman facing assault charge after stabbing incident

An investigation into a stabbing on Friday ended in a Paducah woman's arrest.

Deputies were called to a home in the Lovelaceville Road area after a woman reportedly told dispatch she had stabbed a man in her home.

At the home, deputies found a 31-year-old man with a stab wound to his abdomen. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Deputies said an altercation had taken place between the man and 25-year-old Delandra Stubblefield, which led to Stubblefield stabbing the man.

Stubblefield was arrested and charged with assault - domestic violance.

She was taken to the McCracken County jail.
