The Paducah Police Department kicks off another year of neighborhood meetings this week.
Last year police officers conducted 30 meetings over a 6-month period to have a dialog with residents from 49 different neighborhoods in the city.
The department hopes to build on the success of last year's gatherings where residents gave input on particular needs and issues in their neighborhood. Police said the information helps the department shape their strategies to better serve each unique area of the city.
The first meeting will take place in the Fountain Avenue neighborhood. It'll happen Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Fountain Avenue United Methodist Church.
More meetings will be scheduled and announced throughout the year.
