Cave-in-Rock ferry back open as icy conditions ease

The Cave-in-Rock ferry reopened on Tuesday morning on its regular schedule.

The ferry has been closed since Jan. 25 because of icy conditions on the river causing navigational difficulty.

The ferry operates daily, including holidays, from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. The last run from the Illinois side is at 9:40 pm and the last run from the Kentucky side is at 9:50 pm.
