The search of a home on Wednesday led to a gun charge for a Paducah man.
McCracken County detectives and officers with the Department of Probation and Parole searched a home on Clark Street belonging to Cortez Hill.
During the search, authorities reportedly found a loaded handgun in Hill's bedroom along with magazines and ammunition for a rifle.
The sheriff's office said Hill is a convicted felon and unable to lawfully possess firearms or ammunition. In addition, at the time of his arrest, Hill was on felony parole for robbery and burglary.
He was charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and taken to the McCracken County jail.
