A World War II sailor from Paducah finally came home for burial with full military honors on Friday.
Members of a Navy Honor Guard carried Hal Jake Allison’s flag-draped casket to his gravesite at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Allison was a 21-year-old Navy fireman second class when he was killed while serving on the USS Oklahoma.
The ceremony fulfilled his family’s wishes to bring his remains home after his death during the attack at Pearl Harbor.
