A New Concord man was arrested in connection to a theft case in March after a Friday morning traffic stop.

Calloway County Sheriff's deputies stopped a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Jesse Parker of New Concord at about 3 a.m. Friday. A computer check found that Parker was wanted on an outstanding warrant from an incident on March 2nd. In that case, Parker was accused of taking a firearm and some other property from an individual and did not return the items.

Authorities are said to have made several attempts at reaching Parker but could not get in touch with him. That prompted the issuance of the warrant.

Parker was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking of a firearm and theft by unlawful taking regarding the other property.

Parker was taken to the Calloway County Detention Center.
