A Paducah man was arrested Monday on drug, firearms and other charges.

Paducah police said 18-year-old Quanterance J. Matchum was taken into custody after reportedly trying to sell marijuana to undercover detectives on 10th Street near Ellis Street.

Police said Matchum tried to flee but was apprehended and it was discovered he allegedly had a stolen 9mm handgun.

He faces charges of trafficking in marijuana, receiving stolen property-firearm, fleeing or evading police and resisting arrest.

It was also learned Matchum had an active arrest warrant for robbery out of Graves County.
