A Paducah man is jailed and another hospitalized after a shooting Tuesday night at an Elmwood Court apartment.

Paducah police were called to an area hospital where a 25-year-old unidentified man was being treated. The man had been shot in the leg, hip and buttocks, but he declined to speak with detectives.

Investigators determined the shooting took place in the parking lot/sidewalk area outside of an Elmwood Court apartment.

Witnesses identified the shooter as 19-year-old Christopher Trice, Jr. of Estes Drive.

Trice was arrested around 4:30 Wednesday morning when investigators responded to a break-in alarm at Smokers Paradise on H.C. Mathis Drive.

Trice faces charges of assault, wanton endangerment, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and burglary.
