A Paducah man is in custody following a pursuit Wednesday.

Kentucky State Police say the pursuit began just before 11 am on I-69 north near Draffenville.  A trooper observed a Corvette going 105 miles per hour and attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle which accelerated in an attempt to flee.

Troopers pursued the vehicle along Interstate 69 and continued onto Interstate 24 in McCracken County.

The driver, 29-year-old Otis McKinney, passed multiple vehicles on the shoulder of the interstate before exiting onto Husbands Road.

The pursuit was briefly terminated due to traffic conditions but the vehicle was observed by various law enforcement officers traveling on local roadways in the area.

McKinney was spotted again when the vehicle travelled in the direction of a state trooper, who observed the suspect drive into the yards of multiple residences.

After traveling onto a dead end road, McKinney's vehicle became disabled in a wooded area near Custis Road.

McKinney was charged with multiple offenses in Marshall and McCracken County and lodged in the McCracken County Jail.

A passenger in the vehicle was not charged.
