According to WKDZ, Trigg County Sheriff's deputies were called to a Hopkinsville Road home where they say 37-year-old Cyndi Hicks had gotten into an altercation with her boyfriend, barricaded herself in a room, and started a fire in an attempt to burn the house down.
Deputies say her boyfriend was able to get into the room and extinguish the blaze, and as he tried to leave, his vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven by Hicks, before he left the area.
Reportedly there were children present in the home at the time of the incident.
Hicks was arrested and charged with attempted arson, criminal mischief, assault, operating a vehicle on a suspended or revoked license, and four counts of wanton endangerment.
