Paducah man indicted after fatal crash in May

A Paducah man was indicted after an investigation into a fatal crash back in May.

A McCracken County Grand Jury handed down the indictment against 70-year-old Benny Green on charges stemming from a crash on May 21st.

The crash happened at the intersection of Kentucky Dam Road and Eagle Nest Drive when a vehicle driven by Green collided with a motorcycle operated by 63-year-old Gordon Smith of Kuttawa. Smith was pronounced dead at an area hospital. Green was treated for injuries, as well.

After investigation of the circumstances of the crash, Green was arrested this week and taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail. He was charged with manslaughter and operating on a suspended license.
