Attorney General Russell Coleman on Tuesday announced that action by the Attorney General's Special Prosecutions Unit resulted in the guilty plea of 48-year-old Allison Morris of Graves County for unlawful theft from the Mayfield/ Graves County Chamber of Commerce.

On Monday, Morris, the former president of the Chamber, pleaded guilty in Graves County Circuit Court to one count of theft by unlawful taking or disposition, greater than $10,000 and less than $1 Million.  

As conditions of the plea, Morris will pay $20,000 in restitution to the Chamber and receive a five-year sentence. Morris will be sentenced on April 22nd.

According to court documents, Morris admitted to stealing funds from the Chamber between May 2021 to February 2024 to pay for personal expenses. A Graves County Grand Jury indicted Morris last May.
