A Paducah man was arrested after he returned to the scene of an assault investigation in a stolen vehicle.
On Saturday, McCracken County deputies were at a North Friendship Road residence where they were told that 27-year-old Ryan Melton of Paducah had allegedly assaulted a victim at the location and fled the scene.
While deputies were still at the residence, Melton reportedly pulled back into the driveway of the residence in a minivan.
Officers said that Melton did not have a valid driver’s license. They also learned that the minivan Melton was driving had been stolen earlier that morning from an address on Pullen Lane.
Melton was arrested and taken to the McCracken County Jail. He was charged with assault, theft by unlawful taking, and no operators license.
