A Paducah man was burned and then cited after his vehicle went up in flames.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said they got a call about a vehicle fire off Old Husband Road. The driver, 46-year-old James Wurth of Paducah, told deputies that his car caught fire as he was driving. He got the vehicle stopped and it came to rest in a ditch near Powersports of America. Wurth had to be taken to the hospital for treatment of burns he sustained.

Wurth was later cited for driving on a suspended license and no registration plates.
