A Paducah man that was arrested Friday night after police said he caused a seven-vehicle crash was arrested again Saturday night on drug trafficking charges following another crash.

On Friday, a man identified as Matthew Roberts told police he was involved in a fender bender with another vehicle. The other driver, later identified as 26-year-old Terrell Murdock, reportedly left the scene of the accident, and Roberts followed him to Monroe Street.

Murdock allegedly got out of his vehicle with a handgun and fired a shot into the air, then fled at a high rate of speed toward Park Avenue.

Roberts continued following Murdock, and as they approached 32nd Street, the two cars collided with five other vehicles at the intersection.

Murdock was arrested on numerous charges but was later released on a $5,000 bond.

The next day, an officer reportedly saw Murdock speeding and running a red light at 28th and Jackson streets. As the officer pulled in behind him, Murdock allegedly hit a stop sign and a McDonald's drive-thru sign.

He was detained after the officer said the smell of marijuana was coming from the vehicle. A search reportedly uncovered 1.7 pounds of marijuana, 1,600 ecstasy pills, cocaine, and cash.

Murdock was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking in marijuana, criminal mischief, and numerous traffic offenses.

He was taken to the McCracken County jail.
