Paducah crash investigation lands Missouri man in jail on gun, drug charges

The investigation of a crash in Paducah landed a Missouri man in jail on gun and drug charges.

The crash happened at about 3:15 p.m. along James Sanders Boulevard. Paducah Police on the scene of the crash spotted the driver of one of the vehicles, later identified as 37-year-old Damon Bean of St. Louis, leave a lunch box near a dumpster nearby. When officers retrieved the box, they reportedly found a handgun, marijuana, and cash inside.

Police confirmed that the gun had been stolen in Missouri, and Bean reportedly admitted to being the owner of the box and the items inside.

Bean was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and marijuana possession.
