A Paducah couple wanted for child abuse after their 2-year-old tested positive for cocaine have been arrested after more of their children tested positive for drugs.

Paducah Police said the pair were charged after an incident on March 19th in which 27-year-old Chrishell Burns and 27-year-old Jakyron Burnside took their 2-year-old daughter to the emergency room. The girl was reportedly in and out of consciousness, having trouble breathing, and being lethargic. She reportedly tested positive for cocaine and was then flown to an out-of-state hospital for treatment.

Additional tests on the child allegedly revealed that she also had fentanyl, marijuana, methamphetamine, and oxycodone in her bloodstream. A search of the couple's home reportedly uncovered 2.5 grams of cocaine, marijuana, and a container that tested positive for meth.

Detectives had the couple's other three children drug-tested. Results indicated that a three-year-old boy was positive for cocaine and marijuana while a two-month-old reportedly tested positive for fentanyl, cocaine, and marijuana. Results are still pending on the fourth child.

Burns turned herself in on MArch 31 to face the charges of criminal abuse of a child 12 or under and possession of cocaine and methamphetamine.

Burnside was located after undercover detectives allegedly purchased fentanyl tablets from him at a Clinton Street home. Burnside was charged with criminal abuse of a child 12 or under, trafficking in fentanyl, and possession of cocaine and methamphetamine along with additional warrants out of McCracken and Graves Counties.

The children are in the custody of Social Services.
