Paducah Police arrested two Paducah men and a woman on drug trafficking and possession charges, after investigating suspected illegal drug activity in an apartment that was home to three children.
Police responded to Walter Jetton Boulevard just after 4 a.m. Friday to an apartment whose residents included 10-year-old, 5-year-old, and 3-year-old children.
Officers made contact with 33-year-old resident Chalet Styers and reportedly received consent to search the apartment.
Police said they located 6.87 ounces of methamphetamine in three plastic baggies inside Styers' bedroom. Drug detectives executed a search warrant there and located 43-year-old Michael Dickerson and 41-year-old Jeremy Egan, who allegedly were attempting to conceal themselves inside the apartment.
Detectives also found multiple glass smoking pipes with residue suspected to be from methamphetamine. Those pipes reportedly were inside the closet of the children's room, along with multiple pill bottles and digital scales.
Police removed all three children from the home.
Dickerson, Egan, and Styers were arrested on charges of trafficking in a controlled substance. Styers was also charged with endangering the welfar of a minor. They were lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
