The report indicates Part One crimes were down two percent last year while Part Two crimes were down 7.5 percent. (Part One crimes include murder, rape, robbery, assault, etc.; Part Two crimes include less violent charges including forgery, fraud, vandalism, etc.)
Paducah police recorded two murders last year. Eight robberies, 48 burglaries, 80 auto thefts and six arsons were also recorded.
Police also dealt with 688 drug violations, 249 cases of vandalism and 208 domestic offenses. Domestic offenses were one of five categories that saw an increase in 2025.
The report indicated there were 835 traffic accidents last year, also an increase from 2024. Forty-nine percent of those accidents were said to be due to driver inattention.
The top five locations for collisions last year were Hinkleville Road near Kentucky Oaks Mall, Lone Oak Road at the I-24 intersection, Irvin Cobb Drive at Wayne Sullivan Drive, Lone Oak Road at Jackson Street and Cairo Road at I-24.
The 911 Communications Services division handled calls to Paducah police, as well as the county sheriff, fire and rescue services, and more. While total calls for service decreased from 100,000 in 2024 to nearly 94,000 in 2025, the number of documented incidents remained virtually unchanged at 108,000, indicating that demand for law enforcement and emergency documentation remains consistently high.
The Paducah Police Department contributes its data to the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting Program, a nationwide system used by more than 18,000 law enforcement agencies to track and analyze crime trends.
