The Paducah City Commission's meeting on Tuesday was relatively brief, but involved a major change in their operating procedure.
Historically, commissioners governing the city of Paducah and McCracken County have operated separate planning commissions and formed seperate comprehensive plans. On Tuesday, commissioners decided to coordinate their planning with the county.
The Joint Comprehensive Plan would allow the two government entities to streamline, collaborate, and partner through the parameters of a joint agreement moving forward.
Both parties selected Kendig Keat Collaborative to prepare a document toward an interlocal cooperation agreement, with both entities funding half of the $150,000 cost.
