Business and community leaders will have the opportunity to be a voice for Paducah in Washington D.C. on Monday and Tuesday.
The Paducah Chamber trip will see members meeting with Kentucky's Congressional Delegation and staff plus officials with federal agencies to discuss issues facing western Kentucky.
Paducah Chamber President Sandra Wilson said, “This is our largest group to ever go to on the Annual DC Fly-In. We have 65 local participants going with us. We know this trip is critical to maintaining strong relationships with our federal officials. It is important for our community to be present and united in one voice about our federal priorities.”
They plan to meet with Senators McConnell and Paul, as well as Congressmen Comer, Guthrie, and Barr. They also have meetings planned with the U.S. Chamber, Department of Energy, FAA, Department of Transportation Maritime Administration, agencies representing the arts, travel, and more.
Priorities for the Chamber center on the airport, Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant site, and infrastructure among others.
