One injured, another jailed after southern Illinois shooting

A Mound City woman was jailed last week after a shooting in Pulaski County.

Friday morning, a 25-year-old woman was struck by gunfire in the 200 block of Reader Avenue. She was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Twenty-six-year-old Amari Acree was later identified as suspect.

Acree was located and charged with reckless discharge of a firearm and aggravated discharge of a firearm.

She was taken to the Pulaski County jail on a $25,000 bond.
