One man died and another was arrested after a Christmas night shooting in Paducah.

Just before 7 p.m., Paducah Police were dispatched to an office building in the 900 block of H.C. Mathis Drive. Initial reports were that someone had been shot.

Police said there was evidence a fight had taken place, and they located two injured men who were reportedly intoxicated, along with two allegedly intoxicated teenagers.

The two men, 50-year-old Bobby Tabor and 43-year-old John Sommerfield were taken to Baptist Health Paducah for treatment of their injuries. Tabor died a short time later.

After treatment, Sommerfield was questioned by Paducah Police. Detectives determined Sommerfield shot Tabor during a fight, and charged him with murder.

Sommerfield is also charged with unlawful transaction with a minor for providing alcohol to the teens.

Tabor's body will be taken to the Kentucky Medical Examiner's Office in Louisville for an autopsy on Tuesday.
