One arrested, another hospitalized following shooting

Hopkinsville Police are investigating a shooting which occured there Monday night.

Investigators said they were called just after 10:40 pm to a shooting in the 3600 block of Velma Drive.  Upon arrival, officers located one individual suffering from a gunshot wound and took the suspected shooter into custody without incident.

The victim was airlifted to a Nashville hospital, where they are reported to be in critical but stable condition.

The investigation remains ongoing
