The Noble Park Pool is set to open for the season on May 24.
This year there are new rules to ensure Paducah Parks and Recreation has emergency contact information for every person at the pool under the age of 18.
Officials now say that children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or a responsible adult at least 18 years of age for their entire visit to the pool.
This also applies to those between the ages of 13 through 17 unless they have a Pool Teen Access Pass. Those teenagers with a Pool Teen Access Pass can enjoy the pool without having to be accompanied by a parent/guardian or responsible adult.
For someone to receive the Pool Teen Access Pass, the teen’s parent or guardian must visit the pool or the Parks and Recreation office to complete the required documentation. There is no charge to apply for the Teen Pass. Standard daily admission rates apply.
To get a Teen Access Pass, parents/guardians can stop by the Paducah Parks and Recreation Office at 2701 Park Avenue, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Passes will also be available at the Noble Park Pool during the pool season.
