No threat was found at McCracken County High School on Monday, although a lockdown occurred as a precaution.
Administrators were made aware of a reported threat from a student towards the school.
A shelter-in-place procedure was put into effect while McCracken County Public Schools Campus Police joined administrators in an investigation into the reported threat.
No threat to students or staff was found. Everyone returned to their regular schedule after about 45 minutes.

This morning, McCracken County High School administrators received a report that a student made a threat towards the school. As a precautionary measure, the school implemented a shelter-in-place procedure while administrators and the MCPS Campus Police investigated.
After a thorough assessment, MCPS Campus Police determined there was no active threat to the school. The shelter-in-place lasted approximately 45 minutes before normal activities resumed.
McCracken County Schools takes all safety concerns seriously and works closely with law enforcement to ensure a secure learning environment.
