Hollobus Technologies, a subsidiary of Superior Tray Systems from Canada, is locating their headquarters, manufacturing, and R&D in Murray.
Local officials along with Governor Andy Beshear announced the $2.5 million dollar investment and said it will create 150 full-time jobs.
Hollobus purchased the former Briggs and Stratton facility on Main Street in Murray and will set up operations there.
The company produces electrical cabling alternatives for industry, designed to withstand water in extreme conditions.
In addition, Hollobus announced they would be looking to people leaving military service at Fort Campbell in their hiring. They also are working with Murray State to develop a path for students to be channeled into the company, in the future.
While in Murray, Governor Beshear presented Mayor Rogers with a ceremonial check for $500, 000 dollars toward a needed sidewalk project on 16th Street.
The plan calls for a six-foot wide sidewalk with storm drainage to be constructed between Coach Estates Drive to Sycamore Street, connecting to existing sidewalks.
