New information has surfaced in connection with three now former employees of Murray State University.
The Murray Sentinel reported Monday night records provided to them by the school showed new details surrounding the departures of Dr. Laura Foltz, Darcie Liddle and Haley Stedelin.
The records clairifield the circumstances of Foltz and Liddle's departures along with Stedelin over a three day period of August 5-7. The Sentinel cited sources as sayling Foltz and Liddle had been terminated, while university president Dr. Ron Patterson stated they had been placed on leave.
Stedelin offered her resignation August 6th after the acting director of human resources refused to deliver a letter placing Liddle, the university’s procurement director, on paid administrative leave.
Her resignation letter said the process was inconsistent with the department’s past practice for handling leaves of absence.
Foltz, the schools vice president of finance and administrative services, was placed on leave August 7th. Unlike Stedelin and Liddle's records regarding their change in employment status, no record was provided to The Sentinel in regards to Foltz.
In regards to a follow up question by The Sentinel Monday, the university said there were no additional responsive records regarding notification to the affected employees, personnel action forms or HR forms.
