Gas prices in the region are on the rise again

Gas prices in the region are rising again.

Triple A's East Central Gas Report out Monday finds that prices at the pump rose 13 cents in West Central Kentucky this past week.

The average price per gallon is $3.60 per gallon up from last week's average at $3.47.  Paducah's average price stands at $3.62 per gallon.

Nationally, the average price for gas also went up as the price is now $4.06 per gallon. Uncertainty involving the Strait of Hormuz is a factor in the increase in prices this week.

It was also noted Kentucky's average price of $3.70 per gallon this week is still one of the top ten least expensive states in the nation.
