A Nashville man was arrested following a two vehicle accident and pursuit on I-24 in Lyon County Saturday.
The Lyon County Sheriff's Office said they were dispatched to help Kentucky State Police after they were sent to a two-vehicle injury collision on I-24 at the 50-mile post and one of the involved drivers fled the scene.
The trooper located the suspect vehicle, operated by 55-year-old Richard Rogers of Nashville, westbound on I-24, and the suspect fled from the KSP trooper before exiting I-24 at Exit 45 and driving north to Eddyville, where Lyon County deputies joined the pursuit.
The pursuit continued on US 62 eastbound before Rogers turned onto Goodman Road and nearly hit a deputy’s cruiser before leaving the roadway and going through a residential yard and into a pond.
Rogers was arrested without further incident. He faces a variety of traffic and drug offenses and was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
