A Murray man landed in jail, following a traffic stop on Murray's Main Street Saturday night.
Calloway County Sheriff's deputies stopped 42-year-old Gabriel Ward of Murray at 9:45 p.m., as he allegedly had no registration plates. The investigation revealed he also had no registration receipt, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies subsequently found him to be in possession of methamphetamine and other controlled substances, the sheriff's office reported.
Ward was lodged in the Calloway County Detention Facility for possession of a controlled substance first-degree/first offense-methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance-second degree (drug unspecified), and possession of drug paraphernalia. He also was cited for having no registration plates and no registration receipt.
